Florida State nursing program gets boost

FSU’s College of Nursing this fall began offering a new graduate program leading to a doctorate of nursing practice (DNP) degree.

Administrators had planned to begin the program with as many as 16 students, but there was so much demand for the new degree that the starting class now numbers 25.

Thanks to a pair of federal grants from the Health Resources and Services Administration totaling $2.3 million, the college shouldn’t have any issues accommodating the additional students.
